Pia

Date of birth:
February 2nd, 2007
Place of origin: Copper Center, Alaska
Family: Melted

One of our volunteers at the orphanage brought Pia to us. He found her sleeping by a birdhouse. She was quite weak and frail. Pia stayed in our intensive care center for six weeks before gaining enough strength to join the other snow boys and girls. It took some time for her to acclimate to her new setting but she is now much stronger and stable.

Hobbies: Feeding birds, creating new and delicious bird seed mixtures and learning their individual songs. She loves to imitate them and is very talented singer.
Like and dislikes: Pia loves to play in the snow - especially fluffy new snow. She loves dancing among falling snowflakes and daydreaming about fantastical snow worlds. She dislikes the feel of concrete and the smell of hot asphalt. She loves birds and doesn't understand why we keep them in cages.

Special skills: Card stacking. Pia's nimble hands make her adept at building castles out of playing cards. She has created card replicas of the Colossus of Rhodes and the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. In fact, as we write this] she is busy completing her Seven Wonders of the Ancient World series out in the orphanage lobby.

Dreams and goals: To fly with birds and see the world from high above earth's surface.

Orphanage notes:
Pia is introverted and can be a little shy. Loyal and gentile, she tends to choose a select group of friends and stick with them. She is a daydreamer and is excellent at telling goodnight stories to the newer orphanage arrivals. Pia has been through a lot and will need plenty of love, but has tons of it to give back to the right adoptive family.
