WE'RE GLAD YOU ASKED !

How about getting outside and seeing the world for yourself... Make a pact with your friends to play outside as much as you watch tv and play video games.

Use the recycling and compost bins at your school. If your school doesn't have them, ask your teachers and pricipal to provide them. Small voices CAN make a big difference.

Talk to your parents and see if you can come up with ways to conserve energy in your own home. Have a contest with your neighbors to see who can come up with the most ideas. Here are a few tricks to get you started!

  • Turn lights off in rooms you are not in
  • Unplug your electronic toys when they are fully charged
  • Shut off the water while you brush your teeth
  • Let your stove have the night off while you have sandwiches for dinner
  • Donate your unwanted clothes and toys so other kids can enjoy them
  • Save paper by using both sides when doing homework or art projects

Organize your friends for a neighborhood park or beach clean up day.

Ask your parents to take you to your local farmers market (don't forget your own bags). Pick out a fruit or veggie you've never tasted before. Take it home and find a recipe for it! Enjoy!

Try to eat more fresh foods and less packaged foods! Make cookies ~ don't buy them! They taste better anyway.

And of course.......

Tell everyone you know about Save A Snowman! Share all you learn about taking care of YOUR planet with your friends and family

Have some great ideas you'd like to share? Send us your pictures, letters and suggestions. Look for them on our website. Good luck!
