Hi I'm Bilou!

I am from Sarichef Island, Alaska. It's a beautiful place where thousands of snowmen used to live. Things have changed a lot though. With warming temperatures and permafrost thawing, more and more of the island is washing away into the sea every year. So much that I had to come to the orphanage to be safe and cold.

Hmm, what else can I tell you? I love to cook!   Especially baking...which is actually an extreme sport for snowmen. My favorite is pineapple upside down cake! I always have to make sure to save some just for me or all the other snowmen will finish it before I get a chance. I don't mind as long as they enjoy it. Sometimes though it bothers me when Rosie feeds it to her wild animal friends before I've even had a bite.

I hope you will like me and want to adopt me and that together we can work with the kids at Sunset Elementary to bring a cooler and safer climate to our planet. After seeing the beautiful artwork they did I decided to get involved in helping them achieve their greening goals.

Anyway, all donations from my adoptions go directly to Sunset Elementary's greening efforts. The money will be used for projects like installing solar panels, planting an organic garden, energy efficient light bulbs, and maybe even a passive ventilation system!
