Hallå!

My name is Leon and I am a snowman from Sweden. Well, I used to live in Sweden until the glacier I lived on broke to pieces and fell into the ocean. That is a sad story. Here is a happy one. I am now the official Save a Snowman spokes-snowman for GAIA Culture, and together we are working to help restore the rainforest!

At first I was confused, because I did not know what "Rainforest" is. I know rain is the little wet drops that fall from the sky when it is not cold enough to snow. (I like snow very much). And I know what forests are because there were lots forests back in Sweden. But when I first heard of this "raining-forest," I said it must be a place where many trees are falling from the sky.

So anyhow, when the other snowmen and orphanage staff stopped laughing very hard they told me what rainforests are. Wow... these rainforests are incredible and very important for us you know? They make oxygen for breathing and many, many plants and animals live happily there. I do not understand why such important places are being cut down and burned so much.

There are lots of things I do not understand. I am just a snowman who likes to grow pumpkins and make balloon animals for children. And I know that GAIA Culture is working very hard to keep more of these rainforests from being cut down. If we can help them, it is very good for both people and snowmen, right?
