Save a Snowman joins with Gaia Culture to help restore the Costa Rican Rainforest using only native trees in reforestation efforts.

Founded in 2007 by Dave Getner & John Patterson Molson, Gaia Culture is a non-profit organization aimed at building a sustainable world through "fun, informative, smart, adaptive, economically viable projects to make you 'feel good' about being involved in the current evolution of how we live."

$500 prepares 1000 native seedlings. $2000 protects 2.5 acres of rainforest from deforestation.

Despite strong efforts, governments and corporations continue widespread Rainforest deforestation
Meet the Gaia Culture Snowmen!
All proceeds from their adoption go to preserving and replanting the Rainforest

Here's how Gaia Culture is helping

Seeds and seedlings are collected from Gaïa's private 250 acre rain forest reserve and brought to the nursery.

The nursery can accomodate more than 5000 seedlings, where staff members and volunteers care for the trees.

Soil is bagged and prepared by hand.

Once the trees have reached mature height, they are donated to land owners for planting.

Many thanks for your generous support!

So far, Save a Snowman has donated 1100 native trees to Gaia Culture's ongoing efforts.

"If I thought I was going to die tomorrow, I should
  nevertheless plant a tree today."
