Save A Snowman believes educating young people is vital to the future of our planet. Our Global Impact project aims to establish a worldwide youth network to share environmental solutions and help build green infrastructure in underdeveloped countries around the world.

Todays generations see the world with fresh insight and limited attachment to the status quo. Who better to help open our eyes to new sustainable concepts? Through the power of the internet, we hope to tap into the creative power of our greatest asset - our children and young people. The future is theirs, why not have them take part in creating it?

Communication only works when both parties are listening. The Global Impact project will not be about those of us in the developed world telling those in poorer countries how they should live. As the worlds highest consumers, we have much to learn from them about making a decent life from limited resources.

No matter the age or what country they might call home, everyone on this planet has a story to tell. Local knowledge and experience has the potential to open our eyes to new sustainable concepts and increase cross-cultural understanding.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

HOW IT WORKS

ASSESSING THE  REGION'S NEEDS:

Save a Snowman will meet with local leaders in underdeveloped countries to assess what improvements the region is seeking.  A list of improvements and preliminary budget requirements will be drafted and set as the projects target goal. 

 ·  CHOOSING THE TEAM:

High school students chosen to participate will begin environmental research on a selected region.  After learning about the local people and culture , they will begin correspondence with teenagers of the region in need. Together, they will work toward developing a project workflow to fulfill the region's immediate needs. Their communication will be documented on our website.

·   RAISING FUNDS FOR THE COMMUNITY:

North American students will raise money side by side with Save a Snowman through snowmen sponsorship. We intend to link our efforts with sustainable material and clean energy companies. All proceeds will go toward greening efforts and offer children in underdeveloped nations, a chance at a brighter future.

ACHIEVING THE GOAL

A fundraising meter on the region's project page will track progress. As soon as possible, donations will be awarded to begin greening projects and will continue until the fundraising goal is met.
