San Francisco's Concourse Exhibit Center was buzzing with an over 41,000 green-goers. Among the 435 exhibitors were businesses featuring electric cars, organic teas and coffees, furniture made from sustainable woods and a variety of everything green. Attendees got to listen to plenty of music, dine on tasty organic foods and hear from socially conscious speakers - featuring Deepak Chopra.
It's the world's largest sustainability conference.
On the southwest wing of the exhibition center, in booth #916, stood the first ever snowman orphanage. As the hordes of passersby took a glimpse, they couldn't help but be drawn into the orphanage. "Welcome to save a snowman! Come in and take a look." A quick smile, and an audible "ohhh..., how cute" was the common response.
Many thumbed through our adoption books and snowman profiles. Others were eager to speak to us about bringing Save-a-Snowman to their own schools and communities. Overall, the response was overwhelming, and about 25 orphaned snowmen were adopted!
We extend our warmest thanks to all the attendees for their generous support. Your enthusiasm gave us wings!
